More than 100 people attended the annual NGAUS/National Guard Bureau Legislative Workshop at the National Guard Memorial, the NGAUS headquarters in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the workshop is to give legislative liaison officers ideas on how better to engage with their members of Congress to get legislation passed that is beneficial to the Guard. Rep. Tim Walz, D-Minn., co-chairmen of the House National Guard Caucus spoke. Also speaking was Gen. Craig R. McKinley, the NGB Chief, Lt Gen. Harry “Bud” Wyatt, the director of the Air Guard and Maj. Gen Tim Kadavy, the deputy director of the Army Guard. Members of NGAMA who attended are pictured with Senator Scott Brown.
